Do you have a war memorial or roll of honour in Pytchley ?  I have a close family connection with a man originally from Pytchley who was killed at Gallipoli in 1915.  According to the 1901 census his family lived in Orlingbury Road and they clearly thought so highly of his connection to Pytchley that the name of the village is duly inscribed by his name on the British memorial at Cape Helles in the Dardanelles.  This in spite of the fact that he, at least, had moved away by then though I suspect his family remained.  His name was Henry Church (Harry) and I can provide you with more details and a photograph should you like to commemorate him on the web site.  It would be nice to think he was remembered in Pytchley.  Here in Stafford he appears on three war memorials.
