I expect I'm not the only local resident to have received a glossy colour brochure about Southern Water's new Bewl-Darwell transfer scheme. Now I'm not opposed to the idea of moving water from Bewl through huge pipelines but isn't it amazing that no sooner has Nature healed the scars, and buried the litter, from the first operation a few years ago than the whole thing through our area has to be duplicated? Wouldn't it have been much more economic to have put both pipelines in at the same time?
Lets hope that the "new" A21 planners are better at predictions or we can expect them to return few years after completion in order to dual the carriageways!

I think it was nice but isn't it amazing that no sooner has Nature healed the scars, and buried the litter, from the first operation a few years ago than the whole thing through our area has to be duplicated.

I agree, both pipelines should have been put in at the same time. It would have been smarter economically and better for the community. Traffic would again be congested with the operation. It should be great when it is completed though. Thanks.
