Hello and welcome to our space here at rural.co.uk. Just would like to say to the developers here - excellent site and thank you!

Crowland is a rural community in South Lincolnshire about 10 miles north of Peterborough and about 8 miles south of Spalding. We are a town by charter and have approximatley 3,500 residents. Our postal region in recent times became Cambridgeshire but most consider our heritage as still being that of Lincolnshire.

Crowland (or to give its ancient name, Croyland) has an abbey dating from the 8th Century. You can find out more about Croyland Abbey and its history by going to www.crowlandabbey.org.uk
