Dog Mess..........

I love dogs, cats, etc etc.......but I hate "MESS"
There's a lovely new bin on the wall outside the School Reception.....and guess what....
? There's a bag of dog mess hanging out of it......yuk, yuk, yuk.......why do you do it?
That bin only gets emptied every 2 weeks.......and so fills up pretty quick because people put their rubbish in it....funny that!!
So can someone please tell me, if we love our village and want it to be "nice", why why why would someone want to balance a bag of dog poo onto the already full bin....
WHY???
I will only say this.....dog walkers......you wouldn't let it hang out of your bin at home so why do it on our High Street.....take it home and put it in your OWN BIN.......or THE DOG POO BIN!!!!!!
Please have some consideration.......I WILL ring the council and have it removed if the dog poo stays...!!!

It is a lovely new bin that replaced the previously overflowing bin that contained the dreaded DP and household waste, car wheel trims etc. The new one also appears to be being used for not just the DP but for items of household waste - certainly not the type of rubbish a passerby would just happen to have in their pocket!
The new bin has not been emptied since installation but should be emptied today / tomorrow following a call to the council. It should be emptied weekly on Thursdays which has been confirmed by the cleansing department.
The council cleansing department have also confirmed that it is quite in order for it to be used for bagged DP, though clearly it is not very pleasant to leave it or sandwich packets with food in hanging out of it. Perhaps if it should overflow again, any resident seeing it could be proactive and contact the council to have it emptied since it does seem to get missed regularly. Apparently, the parked cars make access to the bin difficult???
I agree it is OUR High Street and should be looked after, just as it is OUR village and should be looked after.
Perhaps a key issue is the failure of dog owners / walkers to clear up after their pets?? How many are never seen with a bag in their hands??
