More Electricity Power Cuts !!!

Hi!  After the series of about 20 power cuts earlier in the year, some houses and the village Hall have now suffered three significant power cuts in March and April - 1st March, 6th April and today 13th April.  This evening's was out for just under three hours.  It is just one of the three phases of supply in Church Lane and knocks out about a third of the houses.  It also takes out the supply for the main hall in The Village Hall.  Tonight the engineer attending had to come form a previous job in LETCHWORTH so goodness knows how large an area he covers!   Perhaps we were lucky his previous job wasn't in NORWICH!           JTS

The power cuts affecting some houses in and around Church Lane continue. Further cuts on Friday night/Saturday morning and yet another this morning. EDF sends someone out each time to fix things but the underlying problem must still be there. One might think that EDF could trace the fault after six weeks!

Further to my earlier post, we had another three cuts, with the last two on the same day!!   In six days up to Tuesday April 18th we were off for a total of over 14 hours.  Touch wood - we have had no cuts for over a week - Whoopee!  No confidence that they have found what they say is an underground fault, since they have not been digging up the street.   We'll see.    JTS
