Well mr Hunter, in fact all of the hunting fraternity,

I think that you sound pathetic really, you go on about all the job loses involved in the hunt ban. Well its progress mateys, traditions cannot be upheld if they are so wrong and job loss should not be a reason to continue such pre-historic practises. I mean did they keep the aspestos factories open because they provided jobs? People have to move on, people loose jobs all the time, factories go under , markets fold, its a fact of life. I myself have lost work due to a factory that i worked in moving to china, me along with 200 other workers, and i think that youll see that happenning in many other areas of industry.
Did they keep the gas chambers open when hitler topped himself? no  .  why? because we as humans knew it was such a cruel practise.
Also I think hant sabbing is good and i respect the hunt sabbatuers.

So Hunter and hunters, time to re evaluate what you want from life. Is it really to add more sufferteing into this world when you have the opportunity to lower the levels of suffering ?

Humans we are.

I agree that we cant end all suffering , but we can end the suffering that is caused by our own hands.

Well Human!

I agree at times it is necessary to move on.

I can only say that I’m sorry you have lost your job, but of course your cloud is a silver lining for those Chinese who are now employed.  But of course your losing your job doesn’t make it right that those who make their livelihood from hunting should lose theirs (though probably to you it does).

To even draw the comparison of the Holocaust to hunting is, to say the least, a scurrilous connection not even worthy of any further comment.

As to re-evaluating my life – I do so regularly and have come to the firm conclusion that I like hunting which is a long tradition

I assume when you are so concerned about suffering you do not eat factory farmed meats or, fish that is wrenched from the sea or indeed other meat (even organic – remember it has to die first too!), though I would be prepared to bet you do!

I wonder at your morals to support the sabs in this free democratic society when they cut horses and try to poison dogs or dismount riders.

Perhaps if you were to re-evaluate your life, you would realise that you lost your job to the Chinese because over many years of traditional demands for increased wages with no increase in productivity you became extinct!  Of course you could always get a job in a stables clearing up after the horses.

Have a Happy Christmas!

I would just like to say i agree with everything 'hunter' says, remember keep hunting keep fighting!

I think the only hope of fox hunting being made legal again is if the conservatives get elected, as David Cameron did say on the BBC Question Time debate with David Davis that he will allow a free vote on hunting if he is elected, so a conservative majority = hunting legal again Grin.
However, unfortunately i doubt this will be his main priority due to all this left wing/centre crap he's on about at the moment to try and connect with the silly liberal voters.

Preserve tradition!!

Doesn't anyone in Pytchley - a village associated with hunting - have an opinion.

Turn the dogs on Blair and his cronies.  Between Iraq and the removal of traditions such as the Lords and hunting, WHAT are they doing to the country???
Yes, the House of Lords reforms are just a complete joke! If it isn’t broke don't fix it, and this prat blair just seems fixated on 'fixing' hundreds of year's parliamentary practices that have stood the test of time. I've always thought that the hereditary peers offered a great deal of wiseness and commonsense on the bills passed up from the House of Commons. Plus, also the House of Lords can’t even prevent a bill from royal assent, they can only recommend changes and bloke the bill several times (so what is the point of its existence now?)
So to bring the subject back to fox hunting, if the House of Lords could have prevented the hunting bill from going to royal assent we could of still all of been hunting legally.

Great to see such a strong turn out at the Dingley point to point where the Pytchley and Woodland were so well represented.

Everyone there for a great day out and to support a centuries old tradition!

Keep fighting - keep hunting!

I was born in the county and although I don't live in Pytchley I did until recently live in Little Harrowden and still own a house there, where a lot of the hounds are kept.

Personally, I'm glad of the Hunting Bill. There's no place for barbarism of this kind in a modern society.

Cheers

A DELIGHT TO SEE THE HUNT IN THE VILLAGE A FEW WEEKS AGO - LET'S HOPE WE'L SEE THEM AGAIN SOON!  HOPEFULLY THE ELECTION WILL SEE A NEW GOVERNMENT (NOT NECESSARILY BETTER) BUT ONE THAT WILL REPEAL THE HUNTING BAN
